Career Experience
My career has been almost entirely in education. While in college and then in graduate school, I was a teaching assistant for introductory physics classes. While I was in graduate school, I started teaching high school math, physics, and chemistry, and found that I really enjoyed being a teacher. After receiving my doctoral degree, I continued to teach high school for a few more years and then started to teach at the college level, where I have taught introductory physics for 28 years. I have also continued to occasionally teach high school mathematics.
I Love Tutoring Because
I really enjoy the opportunity to help students be successful and to more deeply understand physics and mathematics. Seeing a student have an "aha" moment, where they understand a concept that was confusing to them, is particularly satisfying.
