Career Experience
I have been teaching or tutoring in some capacity for over twenty years. I've taught high school and college students in subjects including math, chemistry, physics, biology, and Earth sciences. Before teaching, I spent several years working as a laboratory scientist in molecular biology.
I Love Tutoring Because
...there's a moment in most tutoring sessions where the student goes from "I don't know what I'm doing" to "I understand this!" It's an almost palpable sense of relief and excitement, and it's my favorite thing about tutoring. It's a "Eureka!" moment, and watching students get there is a wonderful thing.
