Career Experience
I spent 3 months as an undergraduate research assistant to a dendrochronology research project. This involved traveling into urban forests and coring trees to later age them in the lab. I also had an opportunity to intern at a national park in their natural resource department for 3 months over the summer last year. Through this experience I conducted an eastern box turtle population survey, gained skills in public outreach, and participated in everyday activities with the park.
I Love Tutoring Because
helping students understand difficult concepts and improve their skills can have a lasting impact on their academic and personal lives. Tutoring also allows me to reinforce my own knowledge and stay up to date in my subject area.
