Career Experience
Between teaching and tutoring, I have been an educator for eight years. I have been a tutor at Tutor.com since August 2020. Between 2000 and 2017 I was in academia, earning a bachelor’s degree and three master’s degrees. I continued to do research for a few years afterward on a volunteer basis. In total, I have been a researcher for 15-20 years. My expertise is on gravitational waves, black holes, general relativity, and cosmology. I also did research on exoplanets, cosmology, theoretical particle physics, neutrinos, fractional calculus, and three-body orbits in Newtonian gravity. More than ten of those years were in scientific computing-- numerical and statistical methods for scientific programming. I am a calculus, physics, and astronomy tutor.
I Love Tutoring Because
I get to make a difference to students' dreams and success. The central goal is to help students understand concepts, the connections to important science today, and strategies for solving problems. I love doing math and physics, and I definitely enjoy sharing the gift of knowledge with others. As students benefit from tutoring, it's great to see students succeed. I find that students who come to tutoring are dedicated learners, and I look forward to working with you!
