Students Say
Students note that this isn't just scaffolding-classes offer unique learning opportunities that go beyond textbooks and lectures, like the Business in Action Program: "I was placed in a group of four of my peers and we were tasked with creating a business idea and executing it from start to finish." Another undergrad adds that they were "able to go out on campus and film things for an assignment" and really enjoyed "being given creative freedom to complete projects." The focused class sizes come in handy here, as they "allow for a more personal connection with professors." And speaking of the faculty, they are typically "very engaged in the class material and willing to help students, inside and outside of the classroom." They also "really do seem to love their job and motivate kids to actually learn to expand their knowledge, not just do the work for a grade." Indeed, they understand how to foster "a safe learning space for students."

Location
Our home may be in central New Jersey, but on a grander scale, it's central to so much more. The Rider campus is a train ride from Philadelphia and New York City, minutes from historic Princeton and just an hour from the beach. But despite our proximity to some of the most popular destinations on the East Coast, Rider still feels like a small-town haven. You'll bump into friends on tree-lined walkways and take study breaks in expansive green spaces. And in the midst of all that, you're going to find your path. It might sound like a cliché, but it's true. You'll excel in classes you never thought you'd like, pursue career opportunities 280 ACRES to wander, discover and learn by heart (including a 2.7-acre lake!) you didn't think were possible and find common ground with people from places you've never even heard of. By the time you leave here, you'll know all the cozy study nooks, all the office hours with your favorite professors, all the themed celebrations that can't be missed and you'll know yourself a lot better too.
Campus Facilities & Equipment
Rider students experiment in our state-of-the-art science labs, perform on stage, hold leadership roles on campus and work at the Rider TV station as early as freshman year. Each year, Rider students complete more than 1,000 internships, co-ops, and field placements as part of their degree studies.
