The University Center houses the Information Center, Student Activities and Involvement Center, the university bookstore, meeting rooms, study lounges, Multicultural Center, and several dining options. The Schmeeckle Reserve is a 265-acre reserve available for educational and recreational use by students and community alike. The reserve includes a 24-acre lake and a 2 1/2 mile trail system used for recreational purposes. The Health Enhancement Center houses athletics, facilities for physical education programs, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, 7,500 square foot weight room, state-of-the-art training room, 8-lane indoor track with an infield for 6 tennis courts or 4 full-sized basketball courts, a fieldhouse and the Berg Gym. Allen Recreation Center provides a cardio-fitness facility, massage rooms, and a recreation center with rental equipment available for students. The Fine Arts Center houses the departments of Art and Design, Music, and Theatre and Dance. Concerts and drama productions are scheduled throughout the year in its two theatres. The Carlsten Art Gallery is also located here. Other highlights on campus include a huge mosaic on the outer, south wall of the College of Natural Resources building; a planetarium located in the Science Building; the Learning Resources Center which contains Instructional Media Services, the library, and the Museum of Natural History; and the Communication Arts Center which houses the student radio station, student newspaper and several television studios.

The Green Circle Trail is a 26-mile trail circling the city of Stevens Point and linking scenic natural areas that follow along the Wisconsin and Plover Rivers. SentryWorld Sports Center, consistently ranked as one of the top 25 public courses in the nation and as one of Wisconsin's top 3 public courses, was designed by world famous golf architect Robert Trent Jones II. It is home to the signature "Flower Hole" with its awesome beauty of 45,000 individual annual flowers. SentryWorld Sports Center also offers tennis and racquetball facilities, dining and bar. The Stevens Point Farmer's Market, located in the downtown public square, is held daily, spring through fall. The Stevens Point area offers numerous parks that offer recreation and educational opportunities. This includes Heritage Park, a village of buildings from the early days of Portage County; Tomorrow River State Trail, a 14-mile trail open to bicyclists, snowmobilers and horseback riders; Standing Rocks County Park with 10 miles of trails, 18-hole disc golf course, cross-country skiing, and a 26 field target archery course; Collins Park with 25 campsites located on Collins Lake; Dubay Park with campsites and a 51 acre park located on Lake Dubay; Lake Emily Park; Jordan Park; Hartman Creek State Park; Bukolt Park located on the Plover River and offering facilities for sledding and softball, a nature center, outdoor ice skating, picnic area, play field, restrooms, swimming beach, volleyball, horseshoe pit, and lodge facilities available for family reunions and parties; and Goerke Park housing outdoor skating facilities, tennis courts, football field, and swimming pool. There are numerous other parks located throughout the area offering swimming, picnic areas, playground equipment, shelters, play fields, volleyball courts, softball diamonds, and more. Ohter attractions include the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum, Korean War Memorial of Wisconsin, Mainstreet Historic District, Riverfront Arts Center, Stevens Point Brewery, Wisconsin River and Lake DuBay. The Stevens Point area offers numerous places of worship. Stevens Point has been voted as one of the 100 best places to live in the United States.

Driving Instructions to Campus
From the North or South on Highway I-39: Take Exit 161 to enter into Stevens Point on Business Hwy 51. Take a left at the fifth stop light (Hwy 10 East/Clark Street). Go three blocks and take a left on Fremont Street. The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Building, about 1 1/2 blocks north on the left side. From the west on Highway 66: Follow Highway 66 East into Stevens Point. Go through the downtown area and into a residential area. Continue east past Division Street (Bus Hwy 51). Go three more blocks and take a left on Fremont Street. The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Building, about 1 1/2 blocks north on the left side. From the east on Highway 66: Follow Highway 66 going west into Stevens Point. Continue into Stevens Point on Highway 66 past Michigan Avenue (an intersection with a traffic light and large junior high school on the corner). Continue two more blocks and take a right on Fremont Street. The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Building, about 1 1/2 blocks north on the left side. From the east on Highway 66: Continue into Stevens Point (under the I-39 bypass) on Stanley Street until the street ends. Take a left. This will be Fremont Street. The Admissions Office is about 1 1/2 blocks south on the right hand side.
