As a private institution, the college attracts a national applicant pool, and out-of-state residents account for over 80 percent of the group. Only 125 positions are available in each class, and in recent years there have been over 3,000 applicants. The average GPA of successful applicants is about 3.4 in both Sciences and overall. Minimum course work includes six semester hours in English and eight semester hours in each of the following: biology, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. The MCAT is required and must be no more than three years old. In addition to the AACOMAS application, applicants must submit a supplemental application (provided by the College after the AACOMAS application has been received).
