Candidates must submit MCAT scores that are no more than two years old at the time of application. (For example, if you are applying for the 2013 entering class, you must submit scores from the 2012, 2011, or 2010 administration). Ohio residents are given preference. Although no courses are specified, applicants are expected to have the knowledge usually gained in a one year lecture and laboratory course in Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, and Math. Applicants are expected to have an undergraduate preparation that provides insight into behavioral, social, and cultural issues. Academically, applicants are evaluated based on the following: Overall GPA; Science GPA; MCAT scores; and undergrad, graduate, and postbacc achievement. Personal qualities are strongly considered and applicants should demonstrate motivation, maturity, coping skills, leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, compassion, sensitivity and tolerance, and good communication skills.
