The Princeton Review Announces Marketing Partnership with Surgent Accounting & Financial Education
Agreement Provides Exclusive Discounts for Princeton Review Customers for Surgent's CPA, CMA and CISA Exam Review Products
NEW YORK, March 8, 2023 /—The Princeton Review®, the education company known for its test-prep, tutoring, and admission counseling services, today announced an affiliated marketing partnership with Surgent Accounting & Financial Education, a Pennsylvania-based company that specializes in accounting and financial education products.
The partnership agreement enables The Princeton Review to offer exclusive discounts for Surgent's award-winning Exam Review products for three major accounting credentializing exams.
The three exams are the:
- CPA® Exam. Known as the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination, this 16-hour test is required for licensure as a CPA in the U.S. The exam has four sections: Auditing and Attestation, Business Environment and Concepts, Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Regulation. The pass rate for each section is about 50%: only about 20% of the exam-takers pass all four sections on their first try. The exam is set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants® (AICPA) and administered by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy® (NASBA).
- CMA® Exam. The leading advanced designation for accounting and financial management professionals in business, the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a certification for management accountants tasked with determining the status and success of a company. It is an 8-hour exam in two sections. The pass rate for the exam has averaged about 45%. The exam is administered by the Institute of Management Accountants® (IMA).
- CISA® Exam. Regarded as the standard of achievement for those who audit and access an organization's information technology, the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is a credential that certifies proficiency in information systems audit control, assurance and security. The exam has historically had a pass rate of about 50%. The CISA is conferred by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association® (ISACA).
