Admissions Requirements
LECOM is a private college and a majority of students come from out of state. Students are required to apply through AACOMAS, the central processor for osteopathic colleges. Applicants may download the LECOM Supplemental application from the college web site or one will be mailed upon receipt of the AACOMAS application. LECOM schedules interviews between October and March. Acceptance notification occurs on a rolling basis. The MCAT is required and must be no more than three years old. The mean MCAT score for successful candidates is 24 and their science GPA is a 3.2 or higher. The college requires two letters of recommendation and a letter from an osteopathic physician. Science course requirements are: 8 semester hours of Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics. In addition, 6 semester hours of English and Behavioral Science are required.
